Are you the daredevil, thrill seeker type who knows no fear, who tests and pushes the limits to the very edge and jumps over regardless, just to see what’s down there? Yes, we’re talking theme parks; thrill rides, roller coasters, haunted houses, creations meant to terrify. If you have a sense of adventure, this is probably sounding quite inviting right now.

This isn’t to say the only place you can have a good time is a theme park. Alton Towers may have all the thrills, but where is the education, the art, the culture? Where are the animals! Chances are, if you have a family, the kids aren’t going to be old enough to venture onto a lot of the rides found at Alton Towers and Drayton Manor. There are children-orientated theme parks, but think outside the box. You can take them to adventure playgrounds, zoos, safari parks, even castles (we highly recommend Warwick Castle for it’s gory dungeon attraction).

Of course, for all of these things you’re probably going to need tickets and unfortunately they sell out awfully quickly, especially during the summer. But never fear!
