Tennis is the sport of gentlefolk (though some of the players are far from gentle). Whether you’re into the sport or not, you know the names. Henman, Federer, Roddick, Sampras, Davydenko. Not to mention the ladies; Davenport, the Williams sisters, Kournikova.

It’s tough and very competitive, so if you haven’t been training since the age of 10, it’s probably for the best that you just consider it a hobby. It makes a great summer sport, so get yourself a racket, some balls and some hardy trainers, and get down to your local court! It’s a great way to keep fit and spend time with one or more of your friends and family!
