Health and fitness is a big deal these days. The powers that be are always telling us that if we don’t get at least 30 minutes of exercise per day, we’re unfit and probably going to suffer a heart attack or a stroke or just plain spontaneously combust before the age of 50. If we aren’t eating precisely five portions of fruit and veg a day, we’re unhealthy and are going to balloon to the size of an elephant by the time our 30th birthday rolls around.

Now, we don’t claim to be experts or anything and we know health and fitness is important, but at the same time, we know there is really no need to get so worked up about it. It’s easy to keep fit if you have the right equipment to do it. You don’t want to have to lug your weary self down to the gym two to three times a week. You don’t want to go out before it’s even light to get a morning jog in before you set off for work. Instead, why not get yourself a cross trainer, or a treadmill or an exercise bike? In the long run, having these in your own space will be a lot cheaper than forking out for a gym membership. There are so many bits and pieces of fitness equipment to choose from too, anything from weights and dumbbells to full on multi-gyms. You also don’t have to worry so much about getting exactly the right amount of vitamins b,c and d, or fibre, protein, sodium, magnesium. Like most things in life these days, you can shove the lot into a tiny, little pill. It’s much easier to remember to take a vitamin tablet than it is remembering whether you ate an orange with your breakfast.
