Kona Coiler (2004) White, M(17"), Good Condition Description:

This bike has had little use considering its age and has had new parts added so is in excellent condition. There are a few small scuff marks from cables and the like but the chain stay has had a piece of tyre zip-tied to it to protect it.

I am 6’1” and this bike is a little too small but is very nimble as a result. I have ridden some trail centres and longer xc rides on it and it rides really well in both situations. It is a bit heavy for a true cross country machine at the moment but could be built up lighter. It is in its element on the downhills but still climbs remarkably well. The frame and wheels are absolutely bombproof and will see you in good stead for many years. All other parts are fairly standard solid performers and will not cost an arm and a leg to replace in the future.

I will miss this bike as it is just so much fun to ride but unfortunately have to sell to finance a new road bike!

Test rides welcome!

This is the original spec and description (some parts have been upgraded - see below):

Going back to the original 5"of Out of Bounds rear wheel travel, the Coiler gives freeriders the Stinky frame design pedigree but in a more pedal-friendly package. The Coiler’s ability to make it back up the hill is appreciated when the shuttle driver pulls the big no-show just after the first run….
