Whether you intend on becoming a professional or not, there are a few things you’re going to need to play. Balls, for a start, the red kind that will likely knock you out if you get hit by one. Stumps and bails when your jumper or t-shirt won’t cut it. Bats, of course, unless you want to risk broken bones by using your arm as a makeshift. Whether you want to be professional or not though, we definitely recommend wearing pads and a helmet to minimise any nasty bruises. Believe us, getting hit with a cricket ball comes sharp.
