Boxing is not a sport for the faint-hearted. It’s tough, it’s violent, and it’s furiously competitive. You can’t do it by halves. If you want to be a winner in this game, you have to throw your heart and soul into the fight otherwise you will fail miserably. Any boxer or instructor will tell you boxing requires a staggering level of fitness and strength before you even get into the ring and if you want to ensure you’re fit and healthy, you need to get kitted out with the right kind of equipment. This means skipping ropes, speedballs and punch bags. Of course, one of the most important things to get before anything else is headgear and then you need the rest of your protective gear to minimise injuries. Boxing is a dangerous sport, after all.
