As with any pet, you have to consider whether you have the time, space and money to take care of them. Large animals such as pigs, cows and goats aren't quite the same as puppies and kittens which can be kept in the house and either taken for walks, or let out to explore. Some of these animals are going to require a decent sized pen to wander around in, and a warm, secure place to sleep. Though smaller, the same goes for chickens. They need space and freedom to be happy and comfortable and they also need protection from any wild animals that might come wandering.
