They are exceptional guard dogs and can adapt well to urban living. They must be trained with a firm consistent hand from an early age, preferably by an experienced owner. This dog can become a massive problem if not correctly trained. The Dogue De Bordeaux can be docile and well balanced if treated properly. They are very fond of children they thrive on the companionship and affection of their owners. The Dogue De Bordeaux is naturally protective; they can be very possessive of home, family and vehicle etc. They may be aggressive towards other dogs if not very well socialised as a puppy. The Dogue De Bordeaux tends to drool and snore loudly. Exercise The Dogue De Bordeaux will require regular exercise. A daily walk or run for around 40 – 50 minutes is sufficient.
