The woodwind family consists of a lot of instruments. It almost seems overwhelming when you look at them all. Some of them we’ve never even heard of. What’s a bansuri, for instance?! Anyway, you probably know what kind of thing you are looking for as most of them all make vastly differing sounds. The most popular woodwind instruments are going to be the obvious kinds; the clarinet, the flute, the bassoon.
